Using the context of slowing heart rate during a post-interval recovery period, she explains this simple technique for teaching clients to become aware of their heart rate and approach it as an internal rhythm, then use their power of concentration to slow that internal rhythm to bring about a slower heart and breath rate. Her fitness education company, Lifemoves, is based in New York City. Ilene is a regular continuing education provider for Equinox Fitness Clubs and a member of several faculties including Clay Fitness Training Institute, Sky-Fitness & Wellbeing and Esquerre Fitness Group. Her unique perspective on prenatal and postpartum fitness has prompted invitations to speak throughout the U.S. and the writing of several articles.
