Back to top About the author: Ingrid Marcum Ingrid Marcum, CSCS, is a successful multi-sport athlete with a great passion for teaching and coaching. Since 1997, Ingrid has been helping others reach their own fitness and athletic goals as a speaker, educator, strength and conditioning coach, and movement specialist. Ingrid travels internationally to speak at conferences and teaches a variety of specialty certifications, courses and workshops - including Battling Ropes, Olympic weightlifting, mobility, hand balancing and bodyweight training. As Programming Director for Battling Ropes, she has also served as a consultant for various programs, including the 2015 World Cup champion U.S. Women’s National Soccer team, and appears in the Battling Ropes training videos. As an athlete, Ingrid spent 20 years in gymnastics. After college, she was a 2009 U.S. national champion in Olympic weightlifting and competed at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic team trials. Ingrid was also a U.S. Bobsled world team push athlete between 2003-2012 and served as an alternate for the 2010 U.S. Olympic team.
