Dear Heather,
You can find a lot of supportive information in the teachings of Robert Rakowski, DC, from Houston, TX. I don't know his web address off hand but you can find his videos on YouTube tube.com and lots with a web search on his name. He's got many seminars recorded and several touch on these issues. Additionally, you can look at the work of Jeffery Bland, PhD. There is also plenty of relevant information in this regard in most good books on detoxification.
I hope this helps.
Much chi,
Paul Chek

Hi Paul,
I don't doubt that what you are saying is true and I would love to pass this idea along to my impatient clients. Can you throw out a few references that support the idea that toxin metabolism is part of weight loss plateaus so that when I credit you I can also cite the sources you're working from? I work in a western medical environment where people are very demanding about all advice being evidence based. Thanks for this and all your great work which I have gotten a TON of value from,
Heather, PT, CPT
