I have a question in regards to loose skin versus fat. I currently train a postnatal client who has loose skin around her mid section. How do you accurately measure body fat when a client has loose skin due to pregnancy? Is the loose skin considered fat mass? My client is seriously considering surgery to remove this excess skin. Is this wise?
I was able to locate several articles already on PTontheNet to help answer your question(s). After you've read them, please feel free to print off these articles and give them to your client so she has some good information to think about before she goes the "quick" route of surgery. Remind her that health on the inside (i.e., digestion, hormonal, etc.) will be reflected on the outside!
I hope this information helps your client make a safe choice.
